We have a Complementary Notary Public in our office (mention this post for no charge).
A Notary Public is considered a Civil Servant to help the public. The charge for notarizing a signature should not exceed $5.00. Of course, if there are documents involved, such as translating the document, filling out forms and then notarizing them, the notary has a right to charge for the service. Our Notary Public does not get involved with the document itself, only with its signing. To notarize a signature, the notary will need to see a valid Driver's License for the person signing and the signing must be done in the presence of the notary public. This makes the signature valid because it is verified.
